The short answer is YES we absolutely love to do that. Here is a brief rundown of how that works. Please read in depth details of options listed below.
Pick the option that best for you and let’s get a plan. Easy peasy. We love hosting photographers and small groups! Let us know if we can check a date for you.
Option #1 - For photo sessions in the u-pick garden, we require you buy two buckets while you are here taking photos of your clients during our public hours. The buckets are $20 each. Typically, the photographer buys one bucket, and the client buys another. Everyone goes home with flowers, and we can put money in the piggy bank and grow the “backdrop” again next season!
We also require you to schedule photo sessions, even if it is during open hours. We request that you give us your dates, no more than 30 days prior to the time desired and we will double check we don’t have too many others doing photos or other large events going on at the same time.
This choice is perfect if you’re coming for just a super quickie small session with one small family or individual on one of our OPEN days. This option is only for open you pick times. Which may mean there’s other photographers and other you pick guests at the same time, so it’s not a “private” experience. Open days are Friday through Monday.
We do NOT allow this option for large groups, photographers with back-to-back clients or multifamily plans for mini sessions. It’s meant to just be a kind of casual taking pictures while you’re picking flowers sort of photo shoot. Also, no nudity or boudoir shoots. All images need to be family friendly. Please call with questions.
Option #2- is a semi-private photo shoot time in the garden. This would be basically the same thing as option one, except on our OFF days. It is an investment is $50 and still includes two buckets of flowers. There won’t be other people just randomly walking into the garden to come pick flowers, as it’s not an open day. However, we may schedule more than one group/photographer at once. But it’s a good size space, and people usually find ways to work in different areas and move around to take turns. For this option, it is typically for the photographer to spend an hour or less in the garden, still just here with one single party. This is not a good fit for minis or many back-to-back clients. Scheduling requirements remain the same as option one above, dates will be planned no more than 30 days prior. Also, no nudity or boudoir shoots. All images need to be family friendly.
Option #3- The third option would be renting the garden for your own special night. This is the only option that gives you nearly private access to the garden for a 2 hour+ window of time.
It is perfect for mini-session photos or a small event.
This is the option for you if you would like to host a small informal gathering. Can be used for longer photography sessions with extended families, back-to-back clients via mini session type set up,
Do you want to bring a group of friends (no photos necessary) this will be the best fit. Think book club, maybe a fun sweet 16, or grandmas' birthday, a small baby shower, mom's night out, girl snack dinner in the blooms. You name it, we can host it!
However, our farm is not set up for large gatherings or formal events like weddings.
For option 3, we allow scheduling up to 45 days prior to the event. Call to coordinate details and figure out your custom pricing that fit your needs.
*this photo session info is meant for professionals with clients. It does not apply to someone here solely for the purpose of picking flowers during public upick. Candid photos/cell phone shots of your friends or kids enjoying their Upick experience are whole heartedly welcomed, with no extra stipulations during open hours. But we still LOVE when both professionals and momtographers share with or tag us on their social media posts! 😉
Groups of friends coming during normal upick hours and just intending to spend the reasonable amount of time here, picking and casual visiting do not need to schedule with us.
These options are for photos or special events. Maybe you want to host a girls night here or a book club meeting or small birthday gathering, where you will be here an extended time more than the traditional picking time. We would love to make that happen, just call to schedule!
If you are not sure how your group of event fits into these options, please feel free to call Erin and check. 509-999-9962
